I think it's awesome. And the 2 door cars usually aren't pursuit vehicles anymore-a lot of big counties like to get 1 or 2 cars that are unusual like this to raise their profile for community events and such.
Police pursuit is controversial. If the chasee gets hurt in a high speed pursuit, they turn around and file excessive force charges. The police almost always win, but they get grilled on having cars whose sole purpose is to catch up to speeders. And don't yell at me I'm just the messenger (My company insures a lot of sheriff's departments).
