I remember way back in high school when my buddy was said he drover better when he was drunk. His reasoning was crap. He said since he was drinking, he paid even MORE attention to all of his actions/reactions.
The thing is...alcohol slows down reaction time and even it you are paying attention rather well, your reactions are that much slower not to mention non-existent depending on how much you've had.
There are responsible young adults out there who can handle it. There are some mature ones. It's the dumb@ses like my old buddy who thought alcohol made him safer on the road. I mean...are you kidding me?!?!

I know people who actually believe that smoking pot makes them a better driver.
Seriously.
It's been scientifically proven that THC slows your reaction time significantly and let's face it, when you're baked you tend to make more unfortunate decisions. But they insist that they do in fact drive better.
How bad a driver are you initially when you "drive better" high?
Dallas and Tarrant are doing a "no-refusal" weekend for DWI/DUI enforcement. I wonder how many arrested will have THC in their blood samples.
