Had a customer try to pretend she was married to someone in the military. She had all his info to. A Power of Attorney (which looked like Zakq made it in his preschool class) and everything. The salesperson she was dealing with had no military background and didn't think anything of it. I just happened to be by when she mentioned he was in service and as a veteran, I was like cool! What branch? She responded What do you mean. I asked her what service she was in and she "couldn't remember", which raised red flags for me. Then I went further and started to ask where he was stationed and what he did. Again she wasn't able to respond. I did this real non-chalantly, and excused myself. I went to managment and told them to stop deal, the asked why and I explained that I honestly doubt someone can be married to someone for 10 years and not know if he was Airforce, Army, Navy, or Marines. We stopped deal and she got arrested at another dealership for identity theft.
