This thread has been an eye opener to me, I've had my fair share of involuntary interaction with the law when I was young dumb and full of myself, had no use for em, felt infringed upon and can relate to the hang em high mentality...but (i'm gonna do it) having gained the experience of seeing first hand what law enforcement goes through and having come to rely on law enforcement as a business and home owner and having a good friend and a nephew who proudly wear a badge see another side of the men (and women in blue). This is not about the generalities of whether cops are good or bad, this is a tragedy caused by the piss poor judgement of a single individual who happened to be a police officer. This could have easily been an accountant or an iron worker or the service manger at your dealer or god forbid you or me doing something we KNOW we souldn't but do any way.

This individual sould be held accountable to the same standard of law as you or I would and hopefully he will be. If not then shame on those who would shield them from being held accountable.

I've learned on this forum that I will never convince an opposing viewpoint that they are wrong however those who serve and protect are just people like you and me and are no better or worse than you and me...
