I may be exaggerating somewhat. But it still irritated the hell out of me, especially when I would offer to drop her off at the front door, park, walk to meet her, and then go get the car and pick her back up and she'd just give me a dirty look.

I know what you mean. Sometimes it takes a couple of bad ones to make you appreciate the good one you got.
