As for nature being harsh and unforgiving, yes that is true but even then there is a poetic beauty in it if one takes the time to look (the pattern snow makes in the air when a blizzard is howling, yes it can kill you but I still think it is beautiful ). Read somewhere that nature/life is like a book. Every day one gets a new lesson and you either pass and live or one fails and dies. There is usually no retakes. As for stressful, well I imagine a deer does feel some stress being chased by a couger, but than so do I in traffic or when the road is a skating rink and I am driving home from work.
