if performance is a factor, don't consider the Charger/Challenger or the Civic SI. And the Civic's better city mileage is offset by the requirement for premium gas. Mazdaspeed3 is the fastest of the bunch, and is as thirsty as the big Dodge. It will have more space, but harsher ride. The interior may be nicer, but there is no comparison for the exterior.
