Throw my 2 cents in here I guess. I looked at the Taurus for quite a while and would only consider the SHO. I have four kids ranging from 11 weeks old to 7 years old. I have been driving a 4 door sedan, the "responsible" father's car for 11 years now. My father-in-law was totally into the Taurus SHO and even the new Buick Lacrosse, right there sealed the deal for me that I wanted the Camaro. The 0.0001% of the time I have to cart part of the family around in the SS will be no problem, we already have the family mini-van and I'll be holding onto the 4 door-sedan as the beater, bad weather, drive into the city vehicle.

Not sure what your real motivation is here, if the Camaro is severely limiting what you can do transportation wise I can understand it. You mentioned quality, "better built with better quality", not sure what you are basing that on. The SHO is running a first year engine, I don't care how many miles they ran it in the lab, it may turn out to be a beast in reliability but for me right now the LS3 is an already proven beast and get as good and in some cases better gas mileage than that Direct Injected twin turbo V6.

I agree that Ford definitely has a winner on their hand but the price point on a well optioned out SHO is really pushing it, the one I was looking at was well into the 40's.

Good luck with your decision, I wouldn't hold it against you if you traded it in and got the SHO. It is your hard earned money so you can do whatever you please with it, at least what is left after taxes :-)
