The performance of the Z06 is truly fabulous. My friend Rick has an '07 in atomic orange tintcoat metallic that is a spectacular car. And you will have the best of both once you get your wife that brand new Camaro SS. Must be nice to have that kind of money.

My favorite car design of all time is the '67 big block Corvette coupe. All '63 through '67 'vettes (the "mid-years") look terrific. I just prefer coupes to verts. And the '67 was the final iteration of the style, with all improvements plus the '67 427 big block had the coolest hoodscoop of all time.

I also like the '56 through '62 'vettes, even though they had solid rear axles and the early years were only available with 3-speed manuals or powerglides.

The '68 through '72 Corvettes styling is okay: good but not great. '73 and later not so good. And a big horsepower drop from '71 on. So only the '68 through '70 years would be worth having.

The current C6 styling is okay: good but not great. The C6s just aren't as stunning and crisply styled as the '56 through '67 models. The Z06 is a fabulous performer, but every extra added scoop on the Z06 just clutters its lines. The new ZR1 is an incredible performer, but the carbon fiber bodyparts are unnecessary and the clear polycarbonate window in the hood reveals the cover over the intercoolers for the supercharger? If Ferrari has a clear panel over the engine compartment at least you see the actual engine and not some dress-up cover!

I don't like the '53 through '55 Corvette styling at all.

I don't like the C4 styling at all.

I don't like the C5 styling very much, but at least it was better than the C4.
