All I can say to this particular point is that I wasn't born blind, so I don't know. In fact, I don't even know for sure if what the blind people see and label as "colors" and auras are even anywhere near the same thing as what we label as colors. They've never seen color as we've seen it, and we've never seen it as they've seen it. It could just be a "for lack of a better term" situation.
I've been thinking about the main point for a few days now and the only real thing is that I feel color associations are condition - they are learned. Even if you look at the fact that people turn red when angry, aroused, or embarassed and extrapolate that to passion, it still requires human interaction of some kind to develope that connection. If you never see anyother person blush/flush, how will you associate red with that passion?

P.S. - As for how I would feel if I became color blind... I honestly don't know. I've never been color blind before. I can assume I would be disappointed at the least in the short term, but I have a feeling I would adapt in the long term.
