It was actually had that excuse used against me by a guy in a F150 with the STX stickers removed and older 90's style Lightning stickers on it. Sorry dude, I know what a 4.2 V6 sounds like....that ain't no Lightning.
The best Flowmaster in the world isn't going to make your truck sound like a 351W or a supercharged modular. If it was a Lightning, I would have had my ass handed to me and shook your hand for being a good sport about having to race my GS-R instead of a real opponent.
I offered leave my hatch open in the staging lanes, to let him personally close the bottle, and take another pass against me. He declined. Preferred to keep his excuse 'valid'.
