The other teams whined and NASCAR made Toyota scale back the power a bit. That's not it at all. The point is that the numbers are supposed to match. NASCAR is supposed to be an even playing field, and Toyota's lead is a violation of NASCAR policy.
All of these companies have developed cars significantly more powerful than NASCAR cars. Toyota didn't outdo them. Toyota cheated.
