Though Tomlinson is not in the Big 12, I would agree with you there.

Hell, the 1941 NC you guys claim, IIRC we shut you guys out in Tuscaloosa, finished with a better record and won the SEC championship. How can you win the NC without winning your conference?

If you really look at it, Teams like Standford and Priceton would have like 24 NCs each. Way back when games were won 150-0. You have to have a modern cut-off point. Since WW2, no one has more wins than Oklahoma.
(had to throw that in there) But if you put OUs portfolio up someone would say their the greatest team ever. However, put it up next to the other power houses and they all kind of blend together. Everyone puts up the best records and stats for themselves. All are very impressive.
Problem is they'll claim a NC just because some publication claims it for them.
