Ed Peper, Rick Wagoner and Bob Lutz have all publicly stated that the restructuring of GM is a concerted effort to prevent this from happening After last quarter GM had nearly 12 Billion in liquid cash. Merill Lynch, the ones that started this whole panic, said GM could last well into 2010 if nothing changed within the company. Obviously GM is changing.
