The Mach-E is a competitor to nothing and as such there is no reason to be competitive against it. It has trouble selling 1,000 a month. A market so small to sell 12,000 a year isn't worth developing a new vehicle compete in.

But we are forgetting GM already has a competitor, the Equinox EV. Anyone that cross shops the Mach-E also looks at the Equinox EV. Both are the same dimension wise just the Mach-E puts out more power. If the power difference bothered GM enough to develop a completely new vehicle, all they would have to so it release a higher trim level of the Equinox instead. Any vehicle they make to compete with the Mach-E will steal sales from the Equinox and Blazer EV's which they don't want to do.

With the low sales of the Mach-E and the fact they already have a vehicle that buyers compare it to, there is absolutely zero reason to develop a new vehicle.
