As a car guy, I don’t want to see that happen again. If there’s no competition, what’s left stops improving (s650 Mustang). Hoping the charger gets a V8 and this Camaro story is true so they have to battle/beat each other again.
That’s exactly what people did and what GM needs to avoid happening again.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner.
While the bad visibility was never an issue for me. It was for many people and it didnt help with sales. The hard-core Camaro fans STILL dont get it. If GM wants a Camaro that can sell as well as the Mustang, they need to make a car that appeals to the masses and not the niche market (Camaro6 forum)
Mustang appeals to a broad market, car enthusiasts, young females, and many more. Its why theyve been able to keep the Mustang rolling across their assembly lines for over 60 years without stopping.
Camaro will always be the GMs redheaded stepchild to the Corvette. So they will never put the resources into an amazing car named Camaro.
Selfishly, I wish they would do a 3rd Gen retro design. Considering the 3rd gen holds rhe Camaro record for sales. They could have tapped into a bunch of nostalgia with us older types that can afford to buy it.
What truly makes sense is to create a car that females, and what the younger crowd likes. Not the wanna be drag racers
