I think you're right, that they won't do a crossover, but if they did do one based on Alpha 2 (Camaro or not) it would definitely be built there. Alpha 2 is a flexible RWD/AWD platform with a variety of powertrains. Adding a minor ride height lift and a wagon-ish body wouldn't be very hard.
The Lansing Grand River Assembly plant only assembles passenger cars though. No CUVs/SUVs.

I don't think it's any coincidence that the Camaro is getting revived when the CT4 goes away. They'll be utilizing the same assembly line.
