I would probably do the same, not because of the transmission but the lack of raw power in the Stingray, plus it has very narrow seats, not too comfortable for me (and I'm not even big).
Did you find the DCT so unappealing, even when you shift it manually?
Wish I could recommend a dealership in your vicinity, but it isn't easy in this area... the amazing one I'd found earlier went bankrupt shortly after covid
, and the one we used with other GM cars in the family is meh, not worth the drive for you. Those cars and SUVs are now gone, so the Camaro is our only GM vehicle, and I try to do maintenance on it myself, that way I know it's done with full attention, if very slowly
