I stopped watching NASACR more than two decades ago. The excitement was seeing which modified street car would outperform the rest. "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday". The only reason I watched that long, was because drivers like Dale Earnhardt, Kyle Petty, Ken Schrader, Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace were still around. Thereafter, I would only occasionally watch Junior race.
The cars evolved into strictly race purpose vehicles and even the engines are not something one can purchase on a showroom floor anymore. There's much more excitement in watching grassroots stock car racing now.
