They may have a little advantage on the business side now though. This Cerberus may be able to shrink if not eliminate the current contract with the UAW. It would allow them some incredible opportunity to cut costs. It may also help GM and Ford with their UAW contracts and they can get some relief from their biggest financial issue, thus allowing them to cut some costs.
Not like it will happen tomorrow, but in the years to come it is feasible that the costs to build an American made car will have come down such that the cost to buy an American made car will be less than that of the foreign competition....more people buying American would be a very good thing.
