Those auto places should not be testing charging systems. They didn’t even know how to test my 2012 Honda properly that has a dual mode charging system which is something like what GM uses these days. Tried telling me my alternator was bad. Good thing I knew about the dual mode charging system. There’s been ENDLESS Honda alternators and batteries replaced because of people not knowing how to test these charging systems.
If I needed a new alternator for the Camaro I’d be looking to see if powermaster makes one. But your fluctuations seem normal to me so IDK.
