Being a Grandparent is so cool isnt it? You get sort of a second chance of doing things right with them that maybe you didnt with your own kids. Now that we have a fair level of wisdom, we get to take alot of opportunities to teach and show them how to do things and how things work. You are spot on! My daughter has asked me on a number of occasions, why I treat her daughters "better" than I did her. I tell her that I'm making up for the goofs when I was young and less wise. Don't get me wrong, she wasn't treated badly, grin... like most parents though, I could have done a better job. :-)
