Thank you. Yes it is. He was in the US Army's 101st Airborne Division. As tough as they come but with an incredible heart. I was living in the woods at age 15 and I would drop in once a week or so. Never asked for a handout and he would never give one but while I was splitting and stacking their fire wood or mowing their yard, my grandma would cook me a meal and my grandpa would give me a few bucks and ask if I needed a ride somewhere.

I have strived to be much like them for my own granddaughters.

Being a Grandparent is so cool isnt it? You get sort of a second chance of doing things right with them that maybe you didnt with your own kids. Now that we have a fair level of wisdom, we get to take alot of opportunities to teach and show them how to do things and how things work. My wife and I have been blessed with a grandson and a grandaughter and we love spending time with them.
