Thanks for the status report silversleeper. Next week we’ll hit the one year mark on our Model Y. A bit over 8,000 miles. Charge almost exclusively at 240V / 32A at $0.17 per kWh. No service issues. Did have to replace a tire due to a sidewall split driving through a construction area. That sucked.

We’re also on our 2nd 30-day FSD trial. It is better than the last go-round with FSD but still not enough for me to want to pay $8k or $99/month for it. Used it today to go to and from a trail bike outing. In aggressive setting it drives like a real a$$#0l3. I had to back it down to Chill.

I’ve had the Equinox EV for two months now. Wasn’t planning on getting it but couldn’t pass up $0 down / $330 a month. It does “car things” better than the Model Y. The Model Y does “EV things” better than the EQEV. With one exception…the range estimation on the EQEV is much better than the Model Y It’s also slightly more efficient in terms of m/kWh, even though it is a heavier vehicle. But if I were taking a long trip, I’d take the Tesla. More cargo room and Tesla Supercharger options. Yes, GM can now use Tesla Superchargers but it requires a $295 adaptor that I don’t intend to buy for a vehicle that I’ll be giving back when the lease ends in 2 years. Plus, we already have the Tesla that doesn’t need an adaptor to use Superchargers.
