A paycheck is a poor motivator for doing a job well. And doing a job poorly because you have no passion for it can put a stop to the paychecks.

Another option is to check into how well credits would transfer from Berkeley. Go to Berkeley for Prereq’s and the usual 1st year stuff while you figure out if you want to continue on with the major, then transfer to Ivy League if you still want to go that route.
