The T fitting will take you 30mins. Agreed about the carb rebuild, but you should do it right away--it'll make a night and day difference in driveability. Or checkout ebay and craigslist for a used Holley or Edelbrock. I've seen them for dirt cheap lately. Might not cost you much more than the cost of a rebuild kit--and you could keep the stocker as a spare!
