At the end of the day, it’s quite a bit faster at tracks and definitely pulls a bit harder in a straight line due to its weight. It’s main downfalls however are I like the Camaro interior better, the recaros are nicer and the 6 speed in my 1le is amazing (didn’t know it came with a short throw shifter versus my previous non 1le!). Also buying new gave me a new track warranty whereas a used grand sport would have maybe given me one more year of warranty.

I think the gen 6 camaro is a better drivers car versus the c7 EXCEPT the grand sport is 98% as good. At the limit it’s a little scary when the grand sport loses grip versus the 6th gen Camaros which are very predictable/progressive. I drove stock and bolt on c7 z06’s and don’t like them. They felt overpowered. The grand sport feels the best out of the c7 lineup. That being said I wish the grand sport and ss1le each could have 50-100 more horsepower as they are capable of withstanding more power and not feeling overpowered.
Thank you for the insight, I suspected the extra speed due to the lower weight mattered some. Being a fairly average driver, I appreciate the predictability of the Camaro when breaking traction, and I also like the Camaro's interior better, the Corvette cockpit favors the driver a bit too much for my taste. The compartment behind the screen is a nice touch, though.
