In defense of JA17's OT record...

#1 - '19 vs. Houston in the play-offs - After Josh led Bill's 41 yards in 1:06 to the tying FG, the defense held Houston to a punt on their first OT possession. Starting from their own 30 the offense was in Houston territory. A 4 yd yd run which could have given the Bills a 55 yd FG try for the win (or going for it on 4th and 5) turned into a 3rd and 24 after a costly 15 yd illegal block penalty. The Bills ended up punting and the Texans drove from their own 17 to the Buffalo 10 and kicked the winning FG.

#2 - '21 against the eventual SB winners and TB12 in Tampa - After Josh leads the offense to a game tying FG from their own 23 with 3:05 left to the TB 7 with 0:25 left, they then go 3 and out to start OT. A 63 yd punt backs TB and TB12 to their own 6...and they go 94 yds for the win after a 58 yd Brett Perriman TD catch and run.

#3 - '21 KC. 13 seconds.

#4 - '22 vs. Minnesota - This is probably the only one (other than Monday) that you could really put on Josh, although he did lead the Bills on a 69 yard drive in 31 seconds to get the tying FG. Then in OT, after Minnesota went up by 3, Josh took them from the Bills 28 to the Vikings 20 in 5 plays...and then on 2nd and 10...threw a pick in the endzone to end the game.

So 0-5, but in 4 of those Josh had last a minute drive to tie the game or in the case of the KC game, put the Bills ahead multiple times. In 3 of them the defense gave up long OT drives for the win, and in the KC game Allen never got the ball in OT.

A lot of text, but just to point out that 0-5 in OT makes for nice headlines, but it shouldn't define JA.

85 TO's is another story...but he's a gunslinger and I still have faith he can get us that trophy.
