Yes but Lamborghini also continues to sell the lineage of exotic that got them on the map in 1968. They know where their bread is buttered.

So does Porsche. When they announced they were going to collaborate with VW to make SUVs the Porsche faithful brought their torches and pitchforks to Stuttgart. But they assured everyone the 911 wasn’t going anywhere nor would it be diluted.

And now just a few weeks ago Porsche doubled down on the 911, stating they will ALWAYS offer it with a gasoline flat 6 and a true 3 pedal manual transmission, and confirmed they’re investing millions into its future development as the car that made Porsche what it is.

I don’t think anyone is saying no to Camaro if there’s variants of it in a sub brand that are SUV and electric. We’re just saying no to using the name if there isn’t at least an available option for the name to be on a 4 seat, 2 door coupe with a gasoline V8 and a 3 pedal manual.

If Porsche can keep their enthusiasts happy, so can GM. Queen Mary just needs to get with it.
