I still say this.
Only for 9 or 10 teams are all the games so important.
Right. Lose a game and you're done. That's really exciting. Only a very few can afford to lose one. The powerhouses can possibly lose 2 but it's rare.
So for MOST teams, your season is OVER early. In the NFL it's at least half way through the season before you have to give it up. I mean really? If you're a fan of a team who lost then just watch baseball the rest of the season cause it's over. You take a whole element away from the game.
And BTW, the NFL still GROSSES, way over all other sports, including College football.
And how many times can you watch a Major College team beat up what amounts to a high school team anyway. I don't even watch OU when they play the patsies.
