Did the ‘14 hood vent diy, a couple years back. Some installed it with the rain tray, others without. I chose to use the tray more for fit and finish, under the hood. Always seemed to me that the tray blocks a lot of the actual venting of hot air, which takes away from its intended purpose.

Searched around for alternatives and ended coming up with my own take on how to make it better but, still keep the tray for fit and finish, as well as keeping rain out of the engine compartment.
Basically took the 6 air towers and cut them down by about half. A lot more airflow and still retain the rain blocking capability.
Hopefully, the pics do what Im talking about justice. Thoughts?
