While this is certainly the case for a large amount of buyers, it does possibly put them in the position of having given the upcoming Tacoma and Ranger an advertising point they wouldn't otherwise have. And unlike the pony car market, advertising is actually done in the truck market. The "masses" are not like the enthusiasts. They are far less likely to investigate any deeper than what an ad tells them about a potential purchase.
