HD Gas engines like the 6.6 don't need to meet certain standards that 1500 trucks do. Which is why the Fuel economy ratings on 2500 trucks say NA for city and hwy mpgs on the window sticker. So they do not have DFM or start stop which in turn makes them more reliable.
