I bought a CTSV in 2005, drove it thru a few winters. The Eagle F1 tires are entirely useless in the rain and especially the snow. And, they only lasted about 9000 miles. So, I bought a set of all-season Continentals. They were "marginally" better, but again, don't try to drive the V in the snow regardless. I would get stuck on my driveway leaving the garage...the car is virtually useless in the snow. I live near you, and can tell you the car would pretty much sit in the garage all winter.
The other thing about the V is the fact that you can't ever get the car rolling without leaving small amounts or rubber on the road - even with the traction control turned on. It's brutal with the low end torque LS6 and a blast to drive. I ended up trading it in for a 2009 Traverse AWD. Never looked back...
Now with the new Camaro, here we go again.
