My biggest concern isn't the battery, but the high cost of cars. How can middle/low class afford to even buy a vehicle in the near future? Are we going to have to keep recycling everyone else's bad EVs? I better break my bicycle back out at this rate.
That last point is no joke. It’s insane how pricey new vehicles as a whole are. I recently got a new company truck. A ‘22 crew cab short bed silverado 2500 custom package 2. It cost 55000. That’s for a truck only one trim level above base equipment. Not many in the middle to low class can afford stuff like that. We just got another crew short F150 XL trim eco boost last week. 51000. There again lower trim level trucks thst cost over 50K doesn’t bode well in my eyes. I’m sure most everyone in those situations will finance them 10 years and that’s a whole other nightmare.
