And covid had zero to do with falling prices, less demand, and parked rigs that are still parked. Why are they still parked? Profits. Period and of story. Profits is what drives the US economy. Every other excuse or explination is a cause of lack or PROFITS for these companies. Why arent we drilling more? Profits..why would you spend money to scout and prep for a new drilling site, when you can just jack up the prices. I work for a federal agency that deals with permits, drilling, exploration, and they arent being used. Why? Why would corporations spend the money on this when they can and will jack up the prices, and we will continue to pay them. The all mighty dollar is all they care about. if you ask about regualtion, look back at when we DIDNT regulate for profit compaines. what do they do, strip all they can, down to the bare bones and move on...wonder why the midwest timber production took a dump in the early century and became a wasteland with no more timber to harvest? because corporations care more about money than anything else.
