I get the push back on companies to reduce emissions, but at the end of the day, the manufacturer is going to chase the dollar, not the regulation. The main reason that car manufacturers are moving towards EV is because the demand for them is increasing exponentially, not because Uncle Sam is bending their arm. Let the EV market dry up and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Where does just about every car company chase the dollar? The same state that has banned new gasoline powered cars in 2035. They are currently considering legislation to ban diesel truck sales as well. Eventually, every other liberal state will do likewise. Don't believe me? See which states have adopted California's emission standards and which have not!
I agree there is some market demand for electric vehicles, however the demise of the combustion engine will be caused by government, not the consumer!
