My agency though? Not a chance in hell. Between the area we cover plus our scope of enforcement and pursuit policy, we'd drain the battery to uncomfortable levels every shift.

Exactly my thoughts. That small town would have to have very little to no crime as well.
Same thing with my agency, there's no way. Pretty sure a while ago I read you work for the state. I know we don't share the same pursuit policy. We are just a busy busy agency.The agency is within the top 10 largest counties in FL. A friend of mine that worked a busy district would fill up his explorer 3-4 times a shift.
