I picked up an MR2 back in October. I’ve done a bit of wrenching on it myself and farmed some of it out. The stuff that I’ve farmed out was typically due to my lack of
- Time
- Correct parts
- Ability
and various combinations of those.
It’s a 2.0T with 5-speed MT, upgraded to a box from a later car with LSD. The turbo was also upgraded. From the factory, the car was rated at 200 hp, 200 lb-ft. Not sure what it is with the upgraded turbo, but I’m guessing 220-230 area.
This post will be pics of what it was when I bought it. The next post will be how it stands today.
When I bought it it was red with some unbranded racing seats, a Sparco detachable steering wheel, Enkei RPF01 wheels with Toyo tires. 205/50/ZR16 front, 215/50/ZR16 rear.
