I know Ford claims they're getting rid of trims and options. Might that be a way ford GM to do the same? It would explain why there's no e ext. Cab Colorado ( which I see every day here in SC).

It would make sense. This strategy gives GMC a chance to really carve their own niche in the market rather than just being alternatives to equivalent Chevrolets. Seems like most people who want a work truck or bare bones base model are going to buy the Chevrolet offering anyways.
