We both know that Europe is a different animal altogether. Small countries, short distances, better public transport, all contributing to the fact that cars aren't indispensable for a "normal" lifestyle over there. Heck, I didn't even have a license there for decades.

On point. Last time somebody did list of thins coming in to price of a liter - overall taxes and other forms of "I need that % if you want to sell it" type of scams was hovering around 50%.
Poland is "best cost country" in eyes of American corporations - good engineers, good labor - low wages. And it would be fine - living isn't expensive - housing and food is scaled down to their earnings. But go-juice, cars and whatever you import there (and you import almost everything) has 1st world price tag. And here I have to thank our German friends, for supplying car market

Second hand from DE is the main source of used market cars lol.
Sad thing is I believe PL will stay that way forever. There is no urge to become the best, it's always like "they have greener grass" mindset.
