My theory is this whole EV inevitability will be a cruel joke in reality for the average car owner. The numbers needed don't add up in either production or price. A great job so far of staying on track to end ice and make gasoline extremely expensive as an incentive (not to mention EV subsidies. If they get no subsidies, they'll have an excuse for the poor sales of what they end up offering.) Either way its a lose/lose for the average joe.
The goal is to end ICE. EVs as a practical replacement is a pipe-dream.
