I really disagree with that review but everyone has their own opinion I suppose. Let's be honest here, classic rock soloing isn't the most creative art out there...not that I don't love it but there's only so much you can do in an E major scale so it's natural a lot of it will sound the same. From a musician's standpoint, Thayer uses a lot more complex phrasing and is a lot better technically than Frehley was/is in my opinion.
