IMO you need about 3 people in the household for the membership to really make sense, or you have a massive freezer and are okay with a rather repetitive diet.

Agreed. We have two (the wife and I) and I keep telling her to let the Costco membership lapse that it ain't worth it. I have never once got gas there as I have to go 10 miles out of my way to get gas there. I have Top Tier gas at Kwik Trip right here next to my house.
