I prefer combos, although they can be QUITE heavy! A head and 2-12 gets you there and is a little easier to transport. Honestly, I don't move much of anything, no gigging, so I just pile them up!!! lol
Solid, closed back 2-12 will pack plenty of punch for sure! 4-12 is so 80's and SO HEAVY!!!!! But still use one occasionally, they are glorious!
Currently, stereo 4-12 is split as a "dual 2-12" for two different amps. Not the setup I use, that's the guest setup for others. But it surely works!
I do like to mix the amps and settings, great tonal ranges, always chasing tone, that's me! Love the journey.
