This is the future of the automotive world. The UK has a mandate to end conventional fossil fuel vehicle sales by 2030, and only allowing zero-emission vehicles from 2035. With hope, the US will not follow suit that soon, but I speculate Kommie-ifornia has already made plans on this. My wife has a 2017 Bolt. It's OK as a commuter, is actually pretty quick, fair range, and practical, but it's difficult to live with such a passionless car that is difficult to love in cold weather (turning the heater on leaves you with MUCH less range).
