Agreed, I was surprised by him comparing them to a Camaro. No one would cross shop them but looking at it from value perspective you are getting more for your 40K going towards a Camaro SS. As I said, if there are EV equivalents to ICE affordable sports coupes/sedans/hatchbacks, then EV's would have a case and we can let free market decide. Problem is the market will not provide them until at least 2030, if even. However, government regulation may force us out of ICE sports vehicles before 2035, by various means mentioned by other posters here. And we will have to get one of these EV econoboxes instead of comparable ICE luxury sedan or sports cars.
