And it's not easy to accidentally hit the release.

Those are not related to opening and closing a door. Every door on every car has been the same since the beginning of time and requires no skill/knowledge/reading of the owners manual to tell you how to do it. A 5 year old should be able to simply open and close it without it flying open.
