The data JHU use says just what I posted. 99% no symptoms to mild symptoms. (There is no definition of "mild". I assume that it is "flu like")

1% are severe to critical cases. So, out of that 1%, common sense would tell me that not all are admitted and treated as outpatients. Only a fraction of the 1% are actually "hospitalized".

That being said, even if the full 1% died, there are another 1.6% unaccounted for. Are you trying to say that they "just sat home and died" without seeking help?

The Worldometers link uses CDC data as a source. Regardless, JHU, CDC, whatever #s are close enough where they all come out 2.6% death rate. Either you trust the sources you're quoting and take the 2.6% at face value, or you don't and it's puzzling why you'd use them if they're wrong.

Yes, I'm saying that not everyone dies in a hospital of any disease. When someone is dead and they do a postmortem, they find out the comorbidities. That's what the data is showing, # of people tested to have it, # of people tested or suspected to have died with it. If they went to bed feeling a little sick and died, it still counts. If they tried to tough it out because they thought it was a flu, it still counts. It doesn't only count if they went to a hospital.

I was simply pointing out why it was a flawed assumption. At this point it seems like you'll apply whatever assumptions until you reach your .26% death rate, no matter how illogical they are. I'm pointing out the absurdity of you telling others to listen to common sense and use logic, then you applying all this bar napkin math to it until you reach the conclusion you want. If that's using your words against you, ok . Sorry if you don't feel it's polite, I feel I'm being very neutral in attempting to point out why your math is incorrect.
