I grew up watching this on TV when I was a kid. This song fits the era, the mood and the car. It has always been my favorite open road tune.
One of my favorite TV shows at the time. Also all episodes were filmed on actual location, not in a studio or Hollyweed lot.

Notice in the opening the town says Hester, Md Population 107. This was actually the town of Hess, Md. just south of the PA line. The closest real town is Marshall, Md. So Hess is hard to find on a map.
